Ofira Ayalon is a Full Professor at the University of Haifa’s School of Environmental Sciences and the head of the environment and energy cluster at Samuel Neaman Institute, Technion.

Ayalon is an expert in environmental and resource management.

With a Ph.D. from the Technion, her career spans academia, research, and advisory roles, emphasizing sustainable waste management, climate adaptation, and energy policy.

Her contributions to sustainability and environmental sciences have been recognized through prestigious accolades, including the Iraj Zandi Award for contributions to solid waste technology and management and the Michael Landau Prize for Excellence in Sustainability Sciences. These honors highlight her impactful research and leadership in shaping environmental policy and advancing sustainable practices.
