Carmit Rapaport, Ph.D

Carmit Rapaport is an expert in disaster management and emergency response. She is an Assistant Professor and Head of the MA Program in Disaster Management at the School of Environmental Sciences, University of Haifa. Her extensive expertise includes behavior during emergencies and disasters, crisis leadership, adaptive behavior, and business continuity. Dr. Rapaport has received substantial funding from prominent organizations, including the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Tourism, and the Ministry of Defense in Israel. She has also been a key contributor to EU-funded projects (FP7 and HORIZON2020). Additionally, Dr. Rapaport has published extensively in international peer-reviewed academic journals, offering valuable insights into areas such as collective behavior during crises, national resilience, and disaster preparedness policies.
