On August 26-29th 2025 prof #Ruslana Rachel Palatnik presented at the XVIII EAAE 2025 Congress in Bonn, Germany – Food System Transformation in Challenging Times at the special session on Environmental Challenges in AgriFood Systems aimed to strenghten the recent collaboration started between the two associations EAERE and EAAE. The topic of her talk was “Evolution of Innovation and Production Supply Chains: The Case of Microalgae-Based β-Carotene” based on the recently published paper.
in addition, Prof Palatnik organised a panel discussion on Advancing Sustainable Supply Chains for a Climate-Smart Circular Bioeconomy, where she presented her research on The Economic and Potential of the Algae Bioeconomy alongside prof Zilberman from UC Berkeley who gave the introduction on •the Climate Smart Circular Bioeconomy, and some of the opportunities it presents to agricultural economists.
