NRERC research fellow, Prof. Ruslana Rahel Palatnik, participated in the 22nd International Energy and Business Conference, held on December 8–9, 2025. Prof Palatink presented current and future carbon pricing regulations in Israel, the EU, and the US, and analyzed their potential impact on the energy sector, emissions, and economic performance. The conference addressed the rapid transformations reshaping energy markets in Israel and worldwide in recent years, namely the renewable energy and trade in electricity. These developments offer significant opportunities for both the private sector and the government, yet they also present substantial challenges — global, technological, and financial — that call for thoughtful analysis and responsible policy.
