Tali Zohar is a researcher specializing in renewable energy systems, with a focus on decentralized solutions, agrivoltaics, and the water–energy–food nexus. She holds a Ph.D. in Natural Resources and Environmental Management from the University of Haifa. Her work combines socio-technical analysis with applied field research, examining how energy systems can support community resilience, food security, and climate adaptation, particularly in arid and resource-constrained environments.

 

She previously served as Head of the Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation at the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies, and held a postdoctoral position at the Dead Sea and Arava Science Center. Her work includes projects in developing countries and collaborations with international academic partners. She has published in leading academic journals, presented at international conferences, and led multiple funded research initiatives focused on locally grounded approaches to sustainable energy transitions and climate resilience.
